Transport Association on Tuesday was that Guangzhou was listed as one of the 179 national transportation junctions of China.

All the national transportation junctions are placed in the center of a road transport web of important cities in the country. The junctions and expressways together form a basic web for a convenient and efficient road transport within China.

The country's transportation junctions actually consist of many road transport organizations and related transport stations. These connect cities, provinces, districts and even countries around the world. The road junctions attach great importance for the connection to railway, aviation and main ports.
