Guangzhou has turned dry and dusty due to no rain for over 20 days. Yesterday's visibility was diminished to only 2.5 kilometers in the morning. At noon, the visibility began to increase to 12-13 kilometers with the sun shining.
Meteorologists explain the reason for the haze lies in the bad condition of air circulation in the city. As the temperature goes up, air circulates very slowly and the day's visibility on the Pearl River Delta Region is very low.
The most serious haze days in Guangzhou usually fall in October to April of next year. Doctors warn that to breath the air with meteorological dusts will cause coryza, bronchitis and even lung cancer.
It is highly recommended and better to stay indoors while exercising in the autumn and winter.
