The 12th Guangzhou International Art Fair (GZ Art Fair) raised its curtain at Liuhua Complex in Guangzhou on 29 November. A painting by French artist Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot was sold for 20 million yuan, the most expensive during the fair so far.
Vice-mayor of Guangzhou city Xu ZhiBiao said that, the government wouldn’t purchase at the fair this year. Poly Auction Co. Ltd. Is participating in GZ Art Fair for the first time bringing a number of works by top Chinese art masters, including Zhang Daqian, Qi Baish, Xu Beihong, Li Keran, Lin Fengmian, Guan Shanyue and Li Xiongcai.
Fine art by some of the world’s most famous artists such as Salvador Dali and Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot are also being exhibited.
This painting of Corot was purchased for 20 million yuan at the 12th Guangzhou International Art Fair.
