A Macau delegation of 17 entrepreneurs participated in the Logistics China Expo held between August 26 and August 28 in Guangzhou Jinhan Exhibition Centre.
Organised by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), the delegation also took the opportunity to learn about Guangzhou's latest logistics development as well as to visit the Guangdong Provincial Logistics Industry Association.
The association's executive vice president, Ma Renhung, introduced to the Macau entrepreneurs , Guangzhou Baiyun district's enhanced transport network, aviation advantages and also the soon-to-be-developed major logistics project, the Gold Circuit Logistics Zone.
The zone is located in the west of Baiyun district near Foshan city and is just 10 minutes by car from the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. The site occupies seven square kilometres and aims at producing itself as a logistics hub for Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau.
Mr Ma said the development project will be a major focus in the China Small and Medium Enterprises Expo to be held in Guangzhou on September 22.
The Macau delegation showed keen interest in the logistics hub project and was invited to attend the September Expo activities, the IPIM press release said yesterday.
