Recently, led by the Comic Branch of the China Association of Oriental Culture Studies (CAOCS), the Golden Dragon Award Comic artists participated in the 9th Kyoto International Comic Artist Conference together, who aroused a Chinese original animation & comic heat in Japan. It became known that Guangzhou had submitted its official application to host the 12th International Comic Artist Conference in 2011.

This was another great event for international comic art exchange since the Golden Dragon Award Comic artists participated the Sino-Korea Comics & Illustrations Exhibition in 2007 and the Angoul¨§me International Comics Festival at the beginning of this year in France. Through participating in those international activities, the Golden Dragon has expanded its brand influence and promoted Chinese original comics entering the international markets. The First Chinese International Comics Festival and the award ceremony of the 5th Golden Dragon Origin Animation & Comic Competition will open on September 28th. Returning home triumphantly, those artists would appear on the avenue of stars in the opening ceremony together with Cai Zhizhong, Huang Yulang, Ao Youxiang, Ma Rongcheng and other comic masters at home and abroad. A series of Golden Dragon activities will begin after the opening ceremony. On September 29th, those artists would participate in the Second Chinese Comic Artist Conference. On September 30th, the "Autograph Session of Comic Artists at Home and Abroad" will be held in the Guangzhou Books Center and the artists will sign their new works for the fans.

From October 1st to October 5th, the "Golden Dragon Award Works and Masterpieces Exhibition" will be arranged during the Chinese International Cartoon Cultural Exhibition in Guangzhou Jinhan Exhibition Centre. The cartoon fans will welcome a luxury cartoon golden week.
