The annual memorial ceremony at Nanhaishen (South Sea God) Temple attracted many locals to join.

Saturday morning, the opening of the 5th Guangzhou Folk Culture Festival and Huangpu Millennium "Polo Birth" Temple Fair was held at South Sea God temple.
The downpour of rain did not stop the enthusiasm of citizens. More than 80 thousand locals attended the fair, which is the most number of attendants than previous years.

A 103-year-old granny also joined in the "Polo Birth" Temple Fair yesterday.
¡¡ãThe rain is so troublesome. It is inconvenient to watch the traditional performance.¡¡À said a reporter of Guangzhou-based Information Times. However, a granny with grey hair told the reporter, ¡¡ãIt is not the real "Polo Birth" without rain!¡¡À The granny added, ¡¡ãRaining today stands for good wishes because South Sea God needs rain.¡¡À
