Introduction
Well-known as Asia's Furniture Sourcing Center, the 23rd CIFF is to be held on March 18th-21st and 27th-30th, 2009 respectively, at China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex. CIFF 2009, insisting on the position of balancing ¡°Export Orientation¡± with domestic market, will keep progress steadily on the basis of over eleven years experience.
CIFF 2008 March made a great success by enlarging its size to 450,000 SQM and hosting 2,596 domestic and overseas exhibitors. The buyers amounted to 123,241, 30,968 of which were overseas buyers from 159 countries with the proportion accounting for over one forth of the total. More than 200 professional media of furniture industry throughout the world reported the event.
The brand of CIFF has been built up as the No.1 furniture show in Asia and one of the leading events in the world. As CIFF 2009 is coming soon, there are at least Four Spectacular Highlights to be mentioned.
Eight vertical shows generate buying synergy
Under the brand of CIFF, eight vertical shows will be concurrently held together in CIFF 2009 March and classified into two groups in two phases for the sake of buyers' convenience. March 18th-21st, 2009 will be the "Whole-Home-Decor" themes of Home Furniture, Homedecor & Housewares, Outdoor Living & Leisure, Kitchen Furniture, Hometextile, Ceramics, etc. March 27th-30th, 2009 will be the themes of Office & Commercial Furniture and Woodworking Machinery & Furniture Raw Materials.
The organizer shifts the show dates of Kitchen Furniture and Hometextile to the first phase of CIFF to set up a more convenient and effective sourcing platform. The related industry players will join hands and create the synergy effect by meeting the common needs of the buyers together.
More space creates more opportunities
As the furniture production boomed in China in the recent years, the demand for the exhibition booth of CIFF is continually over the supply because of the venue limitation. Correspondingly, Complex C of China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex to be completed by the end of September, 2008, will be put into use for CIFF 2009 March. Complex C consists of 12 halls, covering about 90,000SQM. Well connected by a sky-bridge, Complex A, B, and C of Pazhou Complex will become a mega integrated exhibition center, the second largest in the world with an exhibition area of over 340,000SQM.
The total scale of CIFF 2009 March is expected to be 500,000SQM, which provides the prospect as the No.1 furniture exhibition throughout the world. In details, the first phase will employ Complex A, B and C of about 300,000SQM, while the second phase, using 21 halls of Complex A and B, will be 200,000SQM. The new Complex will offer more opportunities to the furniture enterprises. Furthermore, it creates the possibilities of better booth arrangement, presentation and the synergy advantage of the relative vertical shows.
Expertise consolidates the family shows
In the aspect of organization, CIFF will adhere to the management concept of "Professional Shows Only". More famous brand of enterprises from different areas with diversified products will be invited and displayed at CIFF2009 March. Creativity and specialty will be encouraged.
In the First Phase, the modern furniture area of CIFF-Home Furniture will use 15 halls including two special pavilions for hotel furniture and overseas exhibitors. The classical furniture area will employ 8 halls, maintaining the exhibition scale of classical upholstery furniture and European-style furniture and enlarging the proportion of American-style and Neo-classical furniture. Homedecor & Housewares China will include 2 halls, playing an important role in "Whole-Home-Decor" alongside with the Hometextile-Intertextile Guangzhou 2009 and CeramEx China 2009. Outdoor & Leisure Guangzhou will enrich the content of outdoor living & leisure and expand the exhibition area of gardening, sun-shade and BBQ equipment. The kitchen furniture of CKFA will be rescheduled to first phase in order to share the resources and create a better "Whole-Home-Decor" platform for home furniture supply.
In the Second Phase, CIFF-Office Furniture will level off the exhibition scale of 130,000SQM as the previous year. The themes like office environment, commercial and public furniture will be further developed. China International Woodworking Machinery & Furniture Raw Materials Fair (Guangzhou) 2009 / interzum guangzhou is planned to employ 8 halls, enlarging the exhibition scale of the qualified international enterprises and introducing new materials, technology and techniques to upgrade the furniture producers.
Overseas buyers and suppliers boost the Internationalized CIFF
CIFF 2008 (March) set the Overseas Pavilion and attracted 37 exhibitors successfully from America, Spain, Belgium, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and so on. 30,968 overseas buyers from 159 countries and more than 30 trade delegations attended the CIFF 2008 (March).
The 23rd CIFF will further internationalize and utilize the resources and advantage of both overseas and domestic markets, under the criteria of "No.1 furniture show in Asia and the leading event in the world". The Overseas Pavilion will be further enlarged with more exhibitors according to the show features. The Home Furniture and Office Furniture of CIFF will particularly attract the brand exhibitors from Southeast Asia, Europe and America.
To guarantee and strengthen the promotion effect, the organizer has established the close strategic partnership with the outstanding international media. Promotion teams are sent out to launch marketing campaign at the influential furniture fairs in Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Britain, America, Turkey, Australia, Vietnam, Japan, Korea, etc. The rising new markets like Russia, Brazil and Southern Africa are also the destinations for visitor recruitment. The data base of CIFF is adopted to deliver frequently up-dated message to the VIP buyers and professional visitors.
