Organized by the Australian Trade Commission, the 2009 Taste of Australia Wine Showcase visited Guangzhou on May 25, with more than 25 wine makers and representatives from Australia promoting their products.

The Australian wine tasting event is presently on a tour of Chongqing, Kunming, Sanya, Guangzhou and Xia'men.

"As early as 2007, China surpassed Japan and became the largest market in Asia for Australian wines," said Mr. Jeff Turner, Vice Consul of the Australian Consulate in Guangzhou.
