106th Cief Expects More Transactions Than Last Session
Exhibitor signups for the CIEF were heated and that the exhibitor invitation process had been going smoothly. The transaction picture for the 106th session is expected to be better than that of the 105th session, said Chen Chaoren, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Import and Export Fair (CIEF) , at a media symposium by the China Foreign Trade Centre on the morning of 21 August.
According to Chen Chaoren's briefing, as of 10 July, the enterprises that had submitted applications for attending the 106th CIEF numbered 84,954. In contract, the 55,000 export booths available at CIEF fall short of the demand.
As for the transactions volume in the 106th CIEF, Chen Chaoren said that the situation for this session will turn around from the previous session. Judging from the online registrations, there is an increase for every sector, more so for mechanical, electrical and textile industries.
