In order to help export-oriented enterprises tackle the financial crisis and explore domestic sales market potential, the Ministry of Commerce has recently issued a notice that the 106th Canton Fair will continue its work of promoting both domestic trade plus foreign trade, not only by holding domestic sales promotion meetings but also by setting up "Domestic Purchasing Centers" in which paid booths will be offered to domestic buyers so that they can negotiate freely with participating exporters. To a certain extent, the Canton Fair has opened a door to the domestic buyers.
During the second and the third phases of the 106th Canton Fair (October 25 to 27, November 2 to 4), the "Domestic Purchasing Center" will be located in Area A, No. 6 Hall. In the Underground Zone, with 400 standard booths, each offering three free passes to domestic purchasers, the area will be multi-functional.
