After a drowsy session in spring which took place during the worst of the global financial crisis, the autumn session saw growth both in the total transaction value and in the number of attendants. Over 188,000 buyers made the trip to Guangzhou, purchasing 30.47 billion USD of goods, up 16.2% compared to the spring session. More positive indicators were the increases in the number of European buyers, up over 30% and the number of American buyer, up 15%.
Data also shows that Guangzhou's delegation generated just over 1 billion USD, up 20% from the previous session.
